Mark has over 35 years of technical and leadership experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, LNG industry, energy regulation and government policy development. He is a leader whose expertise, reputation, and extensive network across many stakeholder groups (nationally and internationally) reinforces and establishes credibility to organizations both internally and externally.

Taylor Energy Advisors works extensively with First Nations, regulators, governments and companies across a spectrum of industries using collaboration to deliver successful outcomes. Two key focus areas economic reconcilliation with Indigenous communities and the development/execution of successful strategies for energy transition.

Prior to forming Taylor Energy Advisors Mark held the position of Executive Vice President of the Operations Division at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) and many positions in field and office roles for Amoco, Alberta Energy Company and Encana. Mark has led teams responsible for the early development of unconventional oil and gas resources in western Canada. These include Horseshoe Canyon coalbed methane, Horn River shale, Montney gas, and Cardium oil.
