Amanda Ahrens is the Data & AI Leader for Dow’s Digital Operations Center in Houston, Texas. Her team provides innovative data science, data engineering, and cyber security solutions for high-value manufacturing challenges, including sustainability. Prior to her current role, Amanda worked on multiple data architecture, data science and data visualization teams during her 9 years at Dow, spanning sustainability, manufacturing, R&D, and IT. She led the definition and execution of the data strategy component of Dow’s 5-year sustainability digital strategy program, headed the design and implementation of a people and asset tracking visualization tool to increase plant turnaround productivity, built data science models to predict EH&S events, and created data visualizations to better identify research and commercial opportunities.

Amanda is on the Texas A&M University M.S. Analytics Advisory Board and won the Manufacturing Leadership Council Next Generation Leader award in 2023. She holds a M.S. in Analytics from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Michigan State University.
